The vision of establishing a beautiful Temple of Sri Radha Krishna in Mysore was the heartfelt desire of Smt. M. Rathna (Her Grace Radhika Devi Dasi),aged 81yr - a devoted soul initiated by HH Jayapataka Swami, whose roots trace back to the sacred land of Sridham Vrindavan. Guided by her unwavering faith and divine inspiration, this dream began to take shape under the loving leadership of ISKCON Mumbai devotees.
The journey began in 2020, when the temple’s humble beginnings took place in a modest one-bedroom house near Vivekananda Circle(as seen in the picture). Over the following months, as the congregation grew, the center relocated to a larger, three-bedroom house in the serene neighborhood of Siddarthanagar. There, the Sunday programs were initiated, with over 150 devotees regularly attending.
As the community continued to expand, it soon became clear that the space would no longer be sufficient. By the divine grace of Sri Radha Krishna Chandra, the deities were moved to a larger and more beautiful location—a rented plot of land nestled near the lush greenery of Lalitha Mahal Palace. This move marked a significant milestone in the temple's history, laying the foundation for the vibrant, spiritual center that exists today.
And so, the journey continues, with the devotees and the temple growing together, nurturing the spiritual energy of the community with love and devotion to the citizens of Mysore.
